Zusammenfassung

Berry Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter for a contract role in the Knaresborough area. You will rectify problems on mechanical assets, perform PP maintenance and assist with planned outages, working on conveyors, pumps and gearboxes.

Hours are alternating weeks: 8-4 Mon-Fri in Week 1 and 22:00-06:00 Mon-Fri in Week 2, with potential for additional hours. Immediate start with a 3-month initial contract and weekly PAYE pay.

Qualifikationen

• Reading drawings and working from mechanical documents.
• Experience with safe systems of work including permit to work, method statements and risk assessments.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance tasks and fault finding.

• Rectify problems on mechanical assets such as conveyor belts, pumps, gearboxes, valves and cranes.
• Carry out fabrication work and general workshop duties.
• Be responsible for PPM and Reactive maintenance work, ensuring high standards.
• Assist with and participate in planned outages.
• Operate workshop machinery, fabrication and refurbishment.
• Communicate problems and concerns promptly to line management.
• Assist in delivering Maintenance Team KPIs.

We are currently looking for experienced Mechanical Fitter in the Knaresborough area.

Contract - Initial 3 months with possibility to be extended or gone permanent.

Start - ASAP - will wait if there is a notice period

32 Days annual leave for the year (prorated if contract less than 12 months)

Pay £35 an hour PAYE - Weekly Pay

Location - Knaresborough

The working hours for this role are as follows:

Week 1: 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday

Week 2: 10pm - 6am Monday - Friday

Although these are the core hours, candidates who apply must be willing to commit to additional hours (12 hours a day).

• Ability fault-find and repair mechanical assets.
• Good communication.
• Experience writing Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
