The Boeing Company is hiring a Field Service Engineer (Mechanical) based in Almondbank, Scotland, to join the BDUK Product Support Organisation. You will support repair and overhaul for critical components on CH-47 Chinook operations, applying safety and quality standards with hands-on maintenance expertise.

You will engage with suppliers and customers, provide technical guidance, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance and effective problem

Qualifikationen

• Eligibility for UK SC Security Clearance: Applicants must be able to obtain the necessary clearance.
• 5+ years of related work experience in rotary wing/aircraft maintenance is preferred.
• Engineering degree with CEng or IEng registration is desired, or equivalent experience.

Aufgaben

• Provide technical support to suppliers and customers to resolve maintenance and operational issues, prioritising safety and quality.
• Support product repair and overhaul lines by supplying procedures, authorized repair advice, and technical data to address engineering clarifications.
• Ensure compliance with Regulatory Articles, Defence Standards, company policies, processes, and procedures when resolving technical queries or providing advice.
• Coordinate within the In-Service function of the BDUK Rotary Wing Enterprise among Maintenance Organisations and other teams.
• Utilise mechanical design knowledge to analyse, develop, and maintain technical data and publications changes.
• Conduct research on technical, operational, and quality issues, identify root causes, document findings, and provide recommendations.
• Support Cost Reduction Initiatives and Continuous Improvement through LEAN+ activities.
