Job summary

Boeing Defence United Kingdom Limited is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Mechanical) to join the Product Support Organisation, based in Almondbank, Scotland. You will support repair and overhaul activities for critical safety components in CH47 Chinook aircraft, ensuring safe operation and site output performance.

You will work with engineers to provide procedures, data and advice, while complying with Defence Standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Eligible for UK SC Security Clearance
• Significant rotary wing / aircraft maintenance knowledge
• Knowledge of MAM-P, Defence Standards and related regulatory publications
• Ability to analyse and interpret product data (drawings, parts lists, supplier data)
• Engineering principles application to technical, operational and quality issues

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to suppliers and customers to resolve maintenance issues
• Support repair and overhaul lines with procedures, advice and data
• Ensure compliance with regulatory articles and standards
• Coordinate with In-Service function across multiple organisations and suppliers
• Develop and maintain technical data and publications changes
• Investigate faults, identify root causes and recommend solutions
• Support Cost Reduction Initiatives and Continuous Improvement initiatives
