Boeing Defence United Kingdom Limited is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer (Mechanical) to join the Product Support Organisation. The role is based at Almondbank, Scotland, supporting the repair and overhaul of critical safety items for CH47 Chinook Helicopters.

You will provide technical support to suppliers and customers, ensure compliance with Defence Standards, and contribute to continuous improvement through LEAN+ activities.

Formación

• Eligibility for UK SC Security Clearance: Applicants must be able to obtain the necessary clearance.
• Extensive knowledge of rotary wing / aircraft maintenance practices and procedures.
• Strong mechanical field service capability with a focus on reliability and safety.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical support to suppliers and customers to resolve maintenance and operational issues, prioritising safety and quality.
• Support product repair and overhaul lines by supplying procedures, authorized repair advice, and technical data.
• Ensure compliance with Regulatory Articles, Defence Standards, company policies, processes, and procedures when resolving technical queries.
• Coordinate within the In-Service function among Maintenance Organisations, Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation and other stakeholders.
• Utilise mechanical design knowledge to analyse and maintain technical data and generate Publications Change Requests.
• Investigate faults under Material Review Board guidance, identify root causes and provide recommendations.
• Support Cost Reduction Initiatives and Continuous Improvement through LEAN+ activities.

HNC in relevant engineering subject

Engineering degree with CEng/IEng registration desirable
