Job summary

Boeing Defence United Kingdom Limited is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer (Mechanical) to join the Product Support Organisation in Almondbank, Scotland. The role focuses on repair, overhaul, and support for critical mechanical components used in CH47 Chinook helicopter maintenance programs.

You will provide technical guidance, work with suppliers and internal teams, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and service

Qualifications

• Eligibility for UK SC Security Clearance required.
• HNC in a relevant engineering subject desirable.
• 5+ years of related work experience.
• Significant Rotary Wing / Aircraft maintenance knowledge.
• Knowledge of MAM-P, MRP and Defence Standards related to maintenance.
• Engineering degree with CEng or IEng registration desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to suppliers and customers to resolve maintenance issues safely.
• Support repair and overhaul lines with procedures and technical data.
• Ensure compliance with Defence Standards and company policies when resolving queries.
• Coordinate with in-service teams across maintenance and engineering functions.
• Analyse technical data and generate publication changes to support operations.
• Investigate faults and document root causes with recommendations.
• Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
