Job summary

Boeing Defence United Kingdom Limited is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Mechanical) to join the Product Support Organisation in Almondbank, Scotland. You will repair and overhaul critical components for CH47 Chinook helicopters, working with suppliers and internal teams to ensure safety and reliability.

Role requires familiarity with maintenance procedures, a relevant engineering background, and eligibility for UK security clearance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience in aircraft maintenance.
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures and repair processes.
• Engineering degree with CEng or IEng registration is preferred.
• UK SC security clearance eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to suppliers and customers to resolve maintenance and operational issues affecting component repair output and performance, prioritising safety and quality.
• Support product repair and overhaul lines by supplying procedures, authorized repair advice, and technical data to address engineering clarifications and sustain site output performance.
• Ensure compliance with Regulatory Articles, Defence Standards, company policies, processes, and procedures when resolving technical queries or providing advice using authorised engineering source information.
• Support coordination activities within the In-Service function of the BDUK Rotary Wing Enterprise among Maintenance Organisations, Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation, Engineering Authority, Air Systems Coordinating Design Authority, suppliers, and BDUK functions.
