Are you an experienced Mechanical Field Engineer, Mechanical Inspector, Mechanical Supervisor or Construction Engineer with a strong background in the installation, inspection and delivery of mechanical equipment?
Do you have practical experience working with equipment such as valves, heat exchangers, bolted connections, torquing/tensioning, beam cranes, drilling and mechanical anchorages?
We are recruiting for an experienced Field Engineer - Mechanical to join the Site Quality Surveillance team at Hinkley Point C, supporting the construction of one of the largest and most complex engineering projects currently underway in the UK.
Previous civil nuclear experience is not essential. Experience gained within power stations, refineries or other highly regulated major construction environments would be particularly relevant.
As a Mechanical Field Engineer, you will provide construction surveillance across mechanical installation activities, giving confidence that works are being completed safely, correctly and in accordance with approved technical requirements, drawings, specifications and Quality Control Plans.
You will work closely with contractors, construction teams, quality personnel and other project stakeholders, maintaining a strong presence in the field and identifying potential quality or installation issues before they impact programme delivery.
We are particularly interested in candidates with substantial mechanical construction experience, ideally around 10+ years, gained on major industrial projects.
