Job summary

Galliford Try Group AVRS Systems is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join our Environment team. You will prepare enquiry schedules, evaluate supplier quotations and compile commercial documentation for tenders.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, competitive costings for water sector projects. Ideal candidates will have a mechanical or process background, strong analytical skills and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating, commercial or project delivery environment.
• Understanding of tender preparation and estimating processes.
• Ability to read Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and PFDs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare enquiry schedules and liaise with internal stakeholders and procurement teams.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations for robust commercial decisions.
• Produce detailed cost estimates and pricing submissions for tenders.
• Compile commercial documentation for tender submissions and attend tender finalisation meetings.
• Work with engineering, procurement and project teams throughout the bid process.
