Job summary

MK Search is partnering with a well-established M&E contractor to recruit an experienced Mechanical Estimator for a fully remote UK role. You will prepare detailed estimates for bids, review drawings, and coordinate with pre-construction and design teams on high-value projects across life sciences, data centres, and industrial sectors.

You will identify value engineering options, gather supplier quotations, and contribute to bid strategy while enjoying a market-leading salary and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical Estimator in M&E or Building Services sector.
• Experience pricing for life sciences, data centre, commercial or industrial projects is a plus.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mechanical estimates and cost plans for tender submissions.
• Review drawings, specifications and employer's requirements.
• Produce accurate take-offs and pricing for mechanical packages.
• Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
• Work closely with pre-construction, design and commercial teams throughout tender process.
• Attend tender meetings and contribute to bid strategy.
• Ensure estimates are completed accurately and within required deadlines.

Due to an expanding workload, they are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Estimator to strengthen their commercial and pre-construction team.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the M&E or Building Services sector.

• Experience pricing commercial, life sciences, industrial, warehouse or data centre projects would be advantageous.
• Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
