Job summary

MK Search are partnering with a well-established M&E contractor to recruit an experienced Electrical Estimator for a fully remote role in the UK. The position supports commercial and pre-construction teams on prestigious projects across data centres, life sciences, and industrial sectors.

You will prepare detailed estimates, review drawings, produce take-offs, obtain supplier quotations, and contribute to bid strategy while enjoying an above-market salary and a comprehensive benefits package in

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator in M&E or Building Services.
• Strong understanding of electrical building services installations.
• Experience pricing commercial, life sciences, industrial or warehouse projects.
• Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates and cost plans for tenders.
• Review drawings, specifications and employer's requirements.

Due to an expanding workload, they are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Estimator to strengthen their commercial and pre‑construction team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates and cost plans for tender submissions.


• Review drawings, specifications and employer's requirements.


• Produce accurate take-offs and pricing for electrical packages.


• Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.


• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost‑saving solutions.


• Work closely with the pre‑construction, design and commercial teams throughout the tender process.


• Attend tender meetings and contribute to bid strategy.


• Ensure estimates are completed accurately and within required deadlines.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within the M&E or Building Services sector.


• Strong understanding of electrical building services installations.
