Phillips 66 Humber Refinery invites applications for a one-year Mechanical Engineering Industrial Placement starting summer 2027. You will work on projects across central engineering, rotating machinery, business support and fitness-for-service roles, mentored by experienced engineers.

You will gain hands-on experience, document competencies for IMechE Chartered Status, and may be considered for a graduate position after graduation. Accommodation and meals are provided during the first weeks.

Qualifications

• Motivated engineering student seeking hands-on experience in energy/engineering.
• Willingness to travel between site locations with a UK driving licence.
• Strong teamwork, problem-solving and communication abilities.

Responsabilités

• Support maintenance project work, including equipment and piping repairs and upgrades.
• Develop understanding of design codes and project engineering practices.
• Gain exposure to refinery operations and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Contribute to safety and reliability initiatives across fixed equipment.
