Job summary

Phillips 66 is offering a one-year Industrial Placement for a Structural and Civil Engineer student, starting summer 2027 at the Humber Refinery in the UK. You will provide discipline support and technical expertise, contribute to planning, and assist in new projects and asset integrity updates.

You will gain hands-on experience with industry software (Tekla, AutoCAD, NavisWorks) while collaborating with experienced professionals and potentially securing a graduate opportunity after graduation.

Qualifications

• Motivated and proactive student
• Interest in Structural and Civil Engineering in the Energy sector
• Minimum 2:1 in civil and/or structural engineering (or HND)
• We value previous work experience from industrial placements and internships

Responsibilities

• Provide discipline support and technical expertise
• Contribute to short and long-term planning
• Support during turnaround activities
• Assist development and implementation of new projects
• Support asset management of civil infrastructure (structures, stacks, silos, bridges)
• Act as focal point for Structural/Civil issues for refinery/sites
• Engage in all project stages from development to installation
• Collaborate with experienced professionals to design and maintain infrastructure
