Job summary

Phillips 66 Humber Refinery offers a one-year industrial placement for Mechanical Engineering students starting summer 2027. You will apply academic knowledge to real projects and gain invaluable experience in a busy refinery environment.

During the placement you will work on defined projects with our experienced engineers, receive mentoring and MPDS support, and may be considered for a graduate position after you graduate.

Qualifications

• Motivated engineering student with an interest in Mechanical Engineering within the energy sector.
• Working towards a minimum 2:1 in Mechanical Engineering (recent graduates considered).
• Good engineering/technical knowledge.
• Previous industrial placements, internships or work experience are valued and should be highlighted.

Responsibilities

• Work on specific projects alongside experienced Mechanical Engineers.
• Gain practical experience in a dynamic refinery environment.
• Mentored throughout the placement with MPDS support.
• Possible consideration for a graduate position after graduation.
