Job summary

Phillips 66 is offering an Electrical Engineering Industrial Placement at the Humber Refinery, commencing summer 2027. You will join the Electrical Engineering Team on reliability-focused projects and gain hands-on experience alongside senior engineers.

You will work on electrical protection devices, infrastructure and monitoring systems, with exposure to DCS interfaces, industrial networks and cyber security. A strong academic record and proactive mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Motivated student pursuing Electrical Engineering or a similar electrically biased degree subject
• Achieving a minimum 2:1 in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Good engineering/technical knowledge
• Industrial summer placements, internships or work experience valued, highlighting teamwork and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Support reliability-focused projects on site with the Electrical Engineering Team
• Assist with electrical engineering tasks for the refinery and provide support to senior engineers
• Engage with interfaces to distributed control systems, industrial networking and cyber security
