ES Recruit is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams delivering complex nuclear sector projects. You will oversee technical delivery, assurance, safety, quality, cost and schedule from bid to commissioning.
The role requires professional registration, Level 6 engineering qualification and a strong track record in nuclear engineering leadership, with on-site Chorley-based duties and a four-day week option in some setups.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to take a senior leadership role within a specialist engineering business delivering complex projects into the nuclear sector.
You’ll lead multidisciplinary engineering teams from bid and concept through detailed design, manufacture, installation and commissioning, taking responsibility for technical delivery, engineering assurance, safety, quality, cost and schedule.
This position would suit a professionally registered Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in nuclear engineering and technical leadership. It will appeal to someone who enjoys leading and developing engineering teams while remaining closely involved in technical decision-making, design assurance and the successful delivery of complex engineering projects.
In return you’ll receive a salary of £74k–£81k, company car or £5,400 annual car allowance, four-day working week (Monday–Thursday), 185 hours annual leave plus applicable bank holidays, 5% employer pension contribution and Health Cash Plan.
This position is based in Chorley and, due to the leadership responsibilities of the role, regular on-site presence is expected. Candidates should hold a relevant Level 6 engineering qualification and professional registration, with proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects within the nuclear sector.
