Job summary

XYZ is developing the next generation of wearable AR helmet systems for harsh industrial environments. You will join the Hardware team to design, certify, and deliver products from concept through certification, manufacturing readiness and production handover.

You will work closely with the Senior Mechanical Engineer and a multidisciplinary R&D team, applying hands-on prototyping and CAD skills to create reliable wearable devices that meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Strong SolidWorks CAD experience with drawings and tolerances.
• Hands-on prototyping and workshop skills in relevant manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design helmet-mounted AR systems in SolidWorks with complete production docs.
• Support ANSI Type II / EN397 certification programmes and testing.
• Integrate sensors, batteries, antennas, optics, cameras, and electronics.
• Lead DFM/DFA activities and manufacturing transition.
• Collaborate with hardware, embedded, production, software and R&D teams.
