Job summary

Hydro International, a CRH Company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Manningtree branch in the UK. The role is onsite and focuses on installing and servicing water filtration systems across sewage sites, with travel and occasional overnight stays.

Ideal candidates have City & Guilds, a mechanical apprenticeship, and a valid driving license. We offer a competitive package with a discretionary bonus and strong pension support.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, set up and test water filtration systems on sewage sites.
• Carry out site inspections and fault finding; compile survey reports for quotations.
• Access and interpret technical instructions using mobile equipment.
• Work at heights, in confined spaces and on wastewater sites.
• Travel overnight; work away from home regularly.
• Collaborate with workshop teams and other staff within the business.

The Mechanical Engineer will ne working within Hydro International's UK Wastewater Services (UKWWS) team. We support water utility companies by improving sewage sites across the United Kingdom.

We are looking for an experienced/qualified Mechanical Engineer to join us at our Manningtree branch.

In this job you will...

• Install, commission, set up and test water filtration systems on sewage sites.
• Carry out site inspections and fault finding and compile survey reports for quotation purposes.
• Access and interpret technical instructions using mobile electronic equipment.
• Work at heights, in confined spaces and outside on sites connected with Wastewater (sewage).
• Work away from home on a regular basis, requiring overnight stays.
• Work in some of our workshops across the country on occasion.
• Work as a team with other staff and trades within the business.
