Job summary

CMbE, located at Wortley, Leeds, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Decorator to interpret customer specifications and design bespoke machines. You will produce 3D models and 2D drawings, generate BOMs, and support manufacturing using an MRP II system within a dynamic engineering team.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in mechanical engineering, experience with Siemens NX, and an understanding of BS8888 standards. A degree is advantageous; HNC is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a HNC in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• A degree is advantageous.
• At least 2 years' experience in a Mechanical Engineering role.
• Strong time-management and prioritisation skills to handle multiple projects with deadlines.
• Meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret customer specifications and design machines to meet requirements.
• Produce 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Generate BOMs to enable on-time in-full manufacture using an MRP II system.
• Provide technical support across CMbE's global customer base.
• Create manufacturing drawings to BS8888 standards and apply relevant British Standards.
