Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its London team. You will be the technical backbone for plant and building services, handling planned (PPM) and reactive maintenance autonomously.

You will troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, and fluid systems and ensure flawless building services delivery. You will work with Facilities Managers and client staff, hold City & Guilds/NVQ 3 qualifications, and uphold current building regulations and safe working practices.

Qualifications

• Technical qualifications in Mechanical Engineering with strong knowledge of building regulations and safe working practices.
• Ability to diagnose complex mechanical faults and provide rapid emergency responses during working hours.
• Accurate completion of work orders and service reports.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance tasks across critical building services.
• Ensure all mechanical equipment, plant rooms, and services are 100% operational, compliant, and ready for action post-maintenance.
• Conduct personal risk assessments and work strictly within CBRE QHSE procedures and permit-to-work systems.
• Tackle reactive mechanical requests head-on, ensuring swift resolution and closure in line with service levels.
• Act as the main point of contact, supervising specialised mechanical subcontractors on-site.
• Identify components and materials needed for fixes and coordinate with the technical admin team to order.
• Spot areas for improvement during inspections and assist with installation and modification works.
