Job summary

CBRE Local UK in London is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to maintain heating and air-conditioning plant and to manage evaporative cooling systems on-site. You will ensure compliance with L8 standards, perform planned preventive maintenance, and address faults to keep facilities running smoothly.

The role requires formal training in mechanical services maintenance, familiarity with BMS, and a strong emphasis on health and safety on client sites.

Qualifications

• Formally trained in mechanical services maintenance.
• Basic skills on building management systems would be an advantage.
• Formal health and safety training (Desirable).
• Experience of maintaining Pumps, Motors and Valves.
• Experience of operating Cooling Towers.
• Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligations with regard to maintenance activities.
• Working on a client resident site (Desirable).
• Formally certified for Maintenance and Operation of Evaporative Cooling Systems (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and preventive maintenance on heating and air-conditioning plant.
• Maintain evaporative cooling systems and domestic water systems per L8 standards.
• Rectify plant faults promptly to keep systems in service.
• Plan and execute reactive works as needed.
• Ensure spares are available for the above plant.
• Keep comprehensive maintenance records in Frontline.
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments for tasks.
