Role Overview

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work within a multidisciplinary team, providing technical capability and design expertise for water and recycling solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical options analysis, ensuring risk mitigation and adherence to the Project Basis of Design.
• Design calculations for sizing mechanical, hydraulic, power, and building services equipment.
• Collaborate with supply chain to assess latest technologies.
• Develop 3D models and solutions with the design team.
• Oversee outputs like P&IDs, Data sheets, HAZID, HAZOP studies, and commissioning plans.
• Support health & safety standards, ensuring safe designs per CDM Regulations.
• Identify opportunities for digital, sustainability, innovation, and people objectives.

Candidate Profile

You should hold at least an HND or equivalent in mechanical engineering, with extensive practical experience designing hydraulic and mechanical systems. Knowledge of modular build processes, electrical control, instrumentation, and switchgear is essential. You should work collaboratively, responsibly, and innovatively, embracing new technologies to improve efficiency.
