Electro Mechanical Design – Contract Peterborough

An opportunity to join the dynamic Electrification and Energy Solutions division as a Battery Design Engineer. The team specializes in advanced electrified powertrain, zero-emissions products, and related technologies. Focus areas include batteries, fuel cells, motors, inverters, microgrid controllers, charging systems, energy storage, lifecycle solutions/services, and component integration for ePowertrain solutions across industries.

You will help build and scale next-generation technologies, products, and services to create a more sustainable world.

Your background includes:

• Experience in both mechanical and electrical engineering, particularly in producing electric powertrains for machinery retrofitting.
• Proficiency in Creo and electrical harness development.
• Designing electrical components and hardware.
• Conducting risk assessments (DFMEAs).
• 3D CAD design of electrical system components, assemblies, LV harnesses, and HV cables.

This is an onsite role with some potential for flexible working arrangements on a case-by-case basis.
