Mechanical Engineer

£55,000 + Van and Benefits
Northampton - (90% site based)
Full-Time / Permanent

Salary: £55,000, company van, generous pension and potential of bonus, life assurance.
Commutable Locations: Northampton, Milton Keynes, Wellingborough, Kettering, Bedford, Little Irchester, Earls Barton, Huntingdon, Thrapston, Corby, Market Harborough.

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer within a construction related industry? If so, we would welcome your application for this opportunity to join an established and highly regarded company. The successful applicant will play a vital role in designing and maintaining mechanical systems within our client's depot.

YOUR NEW ROLE

1. Work closely with the team of engineers to develop practical solutions for your clients.
2. Create technical and commercial offers for clients.
3. Design engineering solutions in compliance with UK regulations and standards.
4. Analyse equipment performance to identify areas for improvement if needed.
5. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
6. Ensure all designs and systems comply with UK regulations and industry standards.
7. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to site-based clients as and when required.

ABOUT YOU

1. Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
2. Hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
3. Confident user of engineering tools and experience in CAD software.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical principles, materials, and processes.
5. MUST have an understanding and working knowledge of PUWER, Pressure Systems and LOLER.
6. Experience within construction, civils or agriculture.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

1. Basic salary up to £55,000 (depending upon experience).
2. Bonus (Discretionary).
3. Company Van.
4. Generous Pension.
5. 23 days annual leave PLUS Bank Holidays.
6. Life Assurance which stands at four times basic salary.
