Job summary

Alice Rose Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a leading Building Services provider to recruit a Mechanical / HVAC Engineer for a landmark commercial development in Shoreditch.

You will join an established team on a prestigious site, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance of HVAC systems, chillers and air handling equipment, with exposure to BMS alarms and fault finding. Monday-Friday, with overtime opportunities and a clear path for progression.

Qualifications

• Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3).
• Valid F-Gas Certification.
• Strong background in commercial building services maintenance.
• Experience maintaining chillers, split systems and HVAC plant.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Client-facing communication skills.
• A proactive approach and willingness to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs).
• Respond to reactive maintenance and fault finding.
• Maintain and repair HVAC systems.
• Service chillers, split systems and associated plant.
• Carry out maintenance on AHUs, FCUs, pumps and motors.
• Monitor BMS alarms and investigate faults.
• Complete maintenance reports and logbooks.
• Escort specialist subcontractors when required.
• Ensure statutory compliance and health & safety standards are maintained.
• Deliver a high standard of service to the client.

The Role

Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance and fault finding across a modern commercial building, ensuring all mechanical and HVAC systems operate efficiently.
