Job summary

Thames Water’s Riverside STW site is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to maintain and repair mechanical and electrical plant and equipment, ensuring continuous operation for customers.

You will inspect, fault diagnose, test, install and modify equipment such as pumps, motors, VSDs, PLCs and control gear, working with minimal supervision and following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• ONC/HNC in engineering or NVQ/C&G Level 3 in Electrical engineering.
• Mechanical NVQ2/3 as upskill is crucial.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Inspect, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair plant safely and efficiently.
• Provide technical advice and support to trainees as required.
