Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Technical Director for Data Centres in Dublin. You will lead a growing team of mechanical engineers, provide leadership in engineering delivery, and ensure projects meet client needs across the EMEA region.

The role emphasizes technical delivery, work winning, and strong stakeholder management within a fast-growing data centre market. You will drive standards, mentoring, and collaboration with global colleagues, shaping strategy and ensuring on-time, within-budget

Qualifications

Strong background delivering mechanical project work in Data Centres and Mission Critical Environments.
Proven experience leading Data Centre project work in UK and across EMEA, with client-facing leadership.
Excellent team leadership, development capability and financial acumen for project delivery.
Ability to communicate effectively, with strong written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the growing Data Centre team.
Provide management, leadership and engineering grounding in Data Centre sector.
Ensure projects deliver required results and meet client needs.
Define project deliverables, schedules, resources; set standards and guidelines.
Oversee delivery strategy for the EMEA DC sector and mentor the team.
Engage in Work Winning and Business Development to grow DC sector opportunities.
Provide programme management and commercial oversight for major projects.
