Job summary

AECOM in Dublin seeks a Mechanical Technical Director for Data Centres to lead the expanding DC team across EMEA. You will deliver technical leadership, set standards, mentor staff, manage client relationships and drive work winning in the DC sector.

The role requires chartered engineering status, strong data centre design experience, and proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects with commercial oversight and risk management.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status with CIBSE or equivalent is required.
• Extensive experience delivering Mechanical design for data centre projects.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage clients and win work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Data Centre mechanical team across the EMEA region.
• Provide management, leadership and a strong grounding in mechanical engineering for data centres.
• Ensure projects deliver required results and meet client needs with developed standards and guidelines.
• Oversee delivery strategy, mentoring, and knowledge transfer within the DC sector.
• Involve in work winning and business development to secure DC sector projects.
• Provide programme management and commercial oversight for major DC projects.
• Monitor risk and KPI performance; drive on-time, on-budget delivery.
