Job summary

NCR Atleos in Dundee, UK, seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a team developing media handling devices for self-service products such as ATMs. The role requires 2–4 years of mechanical design experience and a strong interest in electro/mechanical systems controlled by software.

Responsibilities include supporting new and existing products, evaluating technologies, and delivering cost‑effective designs. Willingness to travel globally for client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Hons 2:1 or better preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years post-graduate related experience.
• Technology awareness in high speed, document feeding, transportation, sorting & stacking mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Support new and existing media handling products from a mechanical perspective.
• Evaluate different technologies and provide recommendations with backup analysis.
• Release work products using approved systems with all required documentation.
• Collaborate with Engineers from different disciplines and perform design reviews.
• Travel globally to customer sites for support or analysis.
