Job summary

Recruit Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer (Lvl 2) in the United Kingdom. You will drive designs from concept through to manufacture, installation and client sign-off, while learning from experienced engineers and taking ownership of your work from day one.

The role requires 3D CAD proficiency, a strong grasp of engineering drawings, and the ability to support multiple project phases with a collaborative team. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a mechanical design/manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in 3D CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo, NX, or AutoCAD).

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical solutions meeting quality and safety standards.
• Own project elements with guidance from senior engineers.
• Produce and review drawings, 3D models, specifications and BOMs.
• Support concept development, detailed design, reviews and FAT.
• Solve technical challenges via analysis and problem solving.
• Contribute to tenders including concepts, risk, cost estimates and scheduling.
• Create visualisations and presentations for internal reviews and client approvals.
• Join site surveys, client meetings and project coordination as needed.
• Support manufacturing, assembly, inspection and FAT.
• Prepare technical documentation, compliance records, manuals and handover packs.
• Provide engineering support for existing products and legacy equipment.
