SII Group in Belfast is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support our Hardware Engineering function in delivering cross-functional projects. You will develop robust mechanical designs, create detailed drawings and document the lifecycle from concept to release, collaborating with stakeholders across engineering and the wider business.

You will apply engineering principles to solve complex issues, maintain BOMs and documentation, and lead design reviews and work packages.

Formación

• Strong experience in mechanical design engineering.
• Experience producing detailed mechanical designs and technical drawings.
• Good knowledge and practical application of BS 8888.
• Experience working with 3D CAD/CAE engineering applications.
• Understanding of engineering change and configuration-controlled environments.
• Experience working with BOMs and technical/product documentation.
• Ability to analyse and resolve complex mechanical engineering issues.
• Experience participating in or leading design reviews.
• Ability to manage mechanical engineering work packages.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

We are looking for experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support our Hardware Engineering function in the delivery of cross-functional engineering projects.

You will be responsible for developing detailed mechanical designs, producing engineering drawings and supporting products throughout the engineering lifecycle. Working closely with stakeholders across engineering and the wider business, you will help ensure designs are robust, accurately documented and delivered in line with project and technical requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop detailed mechanical designs using a range of CAE tools.
