Job summary

Mansell Recruitment Group is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop mechanical designs from concept to completion using SolidWorks. The role collaborates across manufacturing, production, operations and project management to ensure designs are cost-effective and manufacturable.

The successful candidate will support new product development, improve existing designs and drive continuous improvement in engineering and manufacturing processes, applying DFM and DFA principles to enhance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software proficiency is required.
• Understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes is essential.
• Familiarity with design for manufacture (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) is advantageous.
• Experience developing designs from brief to completion and strong problem-solving skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
• Take designs from initial concept through to detailed design and completion.
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues on mechanical, electrical and automation projects.
• Support project planning, customer liaison and cross-department coordination to meet milestones.
• Contribute to new product development and existing product improvements.
