Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group Limited is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer focused on Die Design and press tool design, based near Redditch. You will contribute to tooling projects within a large manufacturing engineering function and collaborate with the broader manufacturing team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in sheet metal press tool design, be proficient in SolidWorks, and hold an HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or a Toolmaking Apprenticeship with design

Environment: Manufacturing

Location: near Redditch

Hours: Monday to Thursday (7.30am - 4.30pm) Friday (7.30am - 12.30pm) - 39 hours per week

Overview

With manufacturing facilities located across the UK, we now require a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Manufacturing and Engineering team. You will part of a large engineering function of Manufacturing Engineers with a key focus on press tool design.

The ideal candidate / Mechanical Design Engineer - Die Design may have some of the following experiences, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

• Proven experience in sheet metal press tool design, with a distinct portfolio of small, high-precision components.
• Competent with Solidworks
• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, OR a completed Toolmaking Apprenticeship paired with design experience

Commutable from:

Redditch, Alcester, Solihull, Bromsgrove, Coventry, Worcester, Birmingham and surrounding areas.
