Qualifications

• Experience designing cooling infrastructure in mission-critical or hyperscale environments.
• Data centre mechanical design experience.
• Familiarity with evaporative and non-evaporative cooling systems.
• Experience with chilled water and hydronic systems.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modelling and analysis.
• Knowledge of CFD modelling and thermal management.
• Experience with building services mechanical design.
• Experience with data centre projects is preferred.

Design the critical infrastructure that powers hyperscale data centres.

We're supporting a global engineering organisation looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to play a key role in the design and development of next‑generation data centre cooling infrastructure.

This is an opportunity to work on large‑scale hyperscale facilities, contributing to the design of mission‑critical mechanical systems that support some of the world's most demanding digital environments.

You'll be involved across the full design lifecycle, reviewing and developing innovative cooling solutions, assessing system resilience, influencing technical standards and helping deliver highly efficient, reliable and sustainable data centre environments.

The Role

You'll work as part of a specialist engineering team responsible for the development of advanced cooling solutions across hyperscale data centre projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the design and technical development of airside and waterside cooling systems
• Developing cooling strategies for hyperscale data centre environments
