Job summary

ReeVR Talent is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a busy manufacturing team in the FMCG sector. You will design bespoke machinery and automated production lines using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, producing detailed 3D models, drawings and BOMs while supporting upgrades and continuous improvement.

The role involves collaboration with engineering, production and suppliers to deliver cost-effective, manufacturable solutions from concept to installation in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• HNC, HND or degree-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Previous mechanical design engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 2D/3D design.
• Experience designing mechanical equipment, conveyors or automated production systems.
• Understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturability.
• Experience producing drawings, BOMs and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with PDM and drawing management.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical equipment, bespoke machinery and automated production line solutions using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Produce detailed 3D models, 2D drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Prepare and maintain machine BOMs and production line schematics.
• Support machinery modifications, retrofits and upgrades.
• Manage projects from concept through to manufacture and installation.
• Ensure designs are cost-effective, manufacturable and maintainable.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and suppliers to deliver projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve machinery performance and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate drawings and documentation using PDM systems.
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
