Reevr Talent Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their established manufacturing team. You will design bespoke machinery and automated lines, create 3D models and detailed drawings, and maintain BOMs for production lines.

The role involves concept through to installation, ensuring designs are practical and manufacturable. The ideal candidate has SolidWorks and AutoCAD proficiency, experience in high-volume environments, and familiarity with PDM systems.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering (HNC/HND or degree).
• Experience in mechanical design within manufacturing environments.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 2D/3D design.
• Experience designing mechanical equipment, conveyors, or automated production systems.
• Understanding of design for manufacture and product realisation.
• Experience producing engineering drawings, BOMs and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with PDM systems and engineering drawing management.
• Proactive problem-solving approach with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork within a wider engineering group.

Responsabilités

Mechanical Design Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established and growing manufacturing business operating within a high–volume production environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to become part of an established engineering team, working on the design, development and improvement of bespoke machinery, processing equipment and automated production line solutions within the FMCG sector.

Working closely with experienced engineers, production and manufacturing teams, you will be involved in a variety of projects, from developing new equipment and producing detailed engineering designs to supporting machinery upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Role

• Design and develop mechanical equipment, bespoke machinery and automated production line solutions using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

• Produce detailed 3D models, 2D engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.

• Prepare and maintain machine Bills of Materials (BOMs) and production line schematics.

• Support the design and development of machinery modifications, retrofits and upgrades.

• Work on engineering projects from initial concept through to detailed design, manufacture and installation.

• Ensure designs are practical, cost–effective and suitable for manufacture, installation and maintenance.

• Work closely with engineering, production and manufacturing teams to identify requirements and develop effective solutions.

• Assist with identifying opportunities to improve machinery performance, reliability and production efficiency.

• Maintain accurate engineering drawings, revisions and technical documentation using PDM systems.

• Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support the successful delivery of engineering projects.

The Ideal Candidate

• HNC, HND or degree–level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Previous experience in a Mechanical Design Engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Good experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 2D and 3D mechanical design.

• Experience designing mechanical equipment, machinery, conveyors or automated production systems.

• Understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes and design for manufacture.

• Experience producing engineering drawings, BOMs and technical documentation.

• Familiarity with PDM systems and engineering drawing management.

• A proactive approach with good problem–solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a wider engineering team.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience within FMCG or high–volume manufacturing environments.

• Exposure to bespoke machinery, automated equipment or production line design.

• Experience working within a production or factory environment.

• Understanding of continuous improvement and manufacturing efficiency.
