Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd in Filton is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a defence/aerospace client. The role involves contributing to end-to-end design, validating fuel system components, and delivering manufacturing definitions.

You will work with CATIA V5 and design configuration toolsets (PASS, DPDS, VPM, ICC, ACP), while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure weight, cost and performance targets are met.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Contribute to end-to-end design from concept through maturity gates and manufacturing support.
• Design and validation of fuel system installation components optimized for weight and cost.
• Deliver Definition Dossier for Manufacturing and Assembly.
• Define, deliver and enable technical studies to ensure solutions meet Design Methods and Procedures.
• Develop design concepts for product incremental development and support installation trials.
• Manage introduction of new modifications and provide support to the in-service fleet and wing build.

As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. You will be involved in:

• Contribute to the 'end-to-end' design process from conceptual design, modification process in support of maturity gates, DFM, and support to manufacturing sites
• Design and validation of Fuel System installation components and assemblies that are optimized in terms of weight, cost, performance, production/assembly requirements
• Deliver the Definition Dossier for Manufacturing and Assembly (Component and Final Assembly Line)
• Define, deliver, and enable technical studies, trades, and investigations to ensure the delivery of technical solutions in accordance with relevant Design Methods and Procedures
• Work on design concepts in support of product incremental development and apply real-life installation trials and prototyping when required
• Manage the introduction of new modifications, provide support to the in-service fleet, and wing build-support

Your skillet may include:

• Competent user of Catia V5
• Experience in design configuration tool sets i.e. PASS, DPDS, VPM, ICC/ACP etc...
