CBW Staffing Solutions is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a prestigious commercial office in Moorgate, London. The role features 4 on 4 off days (7:00am–7:00pm) and a salary up to £50,000 with no call out, plus a strong benefits package.

You will maintain HVAC plant (AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors), perform PPM and reactive maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and ensure compliance with KPI/SLA targets on a high-profile site.

Qualifications

• Mechanical qualification and proven maintenance experience in commercial buildings.
• Experience with HVAC systems including AHUs/FCUs, pumps, motors.
• Ability to provide copies of trade qualifications.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proactive, professional attitude with multi-skilled maintenance capability.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services.
• Maintain HVAC plant including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and associated equipment.
• Service heating, chilled water and domestic water systems.
• Fault finding and repairs on mechanical plant.
• Basic electrical maintenance including emergency lighting checks and lamp replacements.
• Monitor BMS systems and respond to plant alarms where appropriate.
• Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors.
• Complete all maintenance documentation accurately and on time.
• Identify and report faults with building services equipment and take appropriate action.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services equipment
• Maintenance of HVAC plant including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and associated equipment
• Servicing and maintenance of heating, chilled water and domestic water systems
• Fault finding and repairs on mechanical plant
• Basic plumbing repairs including valves, pipework, taps and sanitary ware
• Carry out basic electrical maintenance including emergency lighting checks, lamp replacements and simple fault finding
• Monitor BMS systems and respond to plant alarms where appropriate
• Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors
• Ensure all works are completed in line with KPI and SLA requirements
• Complete all maintenance documentation accurately and on time
• Identify and report faults with building services equipment and take appropriate action
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety procedures
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client and site management team
• Remain flexible and assist with additional maintenance duties within your level of competence

Requirements

• Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
• Experience working within commercial building maintenance
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services including HVAC systems
• Experience with AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and plumbing systems
• Basic electrical knowledge would be advantageous
• Experience working in a critical environment is desirable
• Ability to provide copies of trade qualifications
• Proven track record in commercial maintenance
• Multi-skilled approach to maintenance
