Job summary

South West Water is seeking a Mechanical Craftsperson to maintain and repair water treatment assets, pumping stations and reservoirs across the region. The role involves reactive maintenance, fabrication of parts, and collaboration with operations to resolve complex issues.

The ideal candidate will have an apprenticeship in a technical discipline, RAMS knowledge, and the ability to fault-find and repair large mechanical equipment.

Qualifications

• A completed apprenticeship in a relevant technical discipline.
• A full understanding of related RAMS to deliver an effective and safe maintenance regime.
• Experience of working with Waste Water treatment processes would be desirable.
• Ability to fault find and repair large complex pieces of mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment.
• Manufacture and fabricate parts and equipment.
• Provide detailed specifications for replacement parts.
• Assist operational teams with complex problem-solving.
• Ensure safety compliance using method statements and RAMS.
• Participate in standby/call-out rota.

As a Mechanical Craftsperson, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing our water treatment assets, pumping stations, and reservoirs.
