Job summary

South West Water, part of Pennon Group, is seeking a Mechanical Craftsperson to maintain and repair water treatment assets, pumping stations and reservoirs, ensuring reliable service for communities.

You will carry out reactive maintenance, fabricate parts and support operations while adhering to RAMS and safety standards. A completed apprenticeship in a technical discipline is required, with fault-finding on large mechanical equipment.

Qualifications

• Completed apprenticeship in a relevant technical discipline.
• Full understanding of RAMS to deliver an effective and safe maintenance regime.
• Experience in Waste Water treatment processes is desirable.
• Ability to fault find and repair large complex mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment
• Manufacture and fabricate parts and equipment
• Provide detailed specifications for replacement parts
• Assist operational teams with complex problem-solving
• Ensure safety compliance using method statements and RAMS
• Participate in standby/call-out rota
