Job summary

SES Water is seeking a Water Process Operative to help deliver safe, high-quality drinking water across our network. You will operate and monitor treatment works, pumping stations and reservoirs, performing site inspections and responding to alarms as part of a hands-on, collaborative team.

In this role you will take water samples, record compliance results and work with colleagues and contractors to maintain performance.

Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) required.
  • Experience in a similar operational or industrial environment.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach to work and participation in shift and standby rotas.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor water treatment processes.
  • Take water samples and record compliance results.
  • Monitor site performance using SCADA systems.
  • Respond to alarms, faults and operational issues.
  • Carry out site safety, security and housekeeping checks.
  • Work with colleagues and contractors to maintain operational performance.
  • Support planned and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Participate in a standby and shift rota to maintain customer water supplies.

About the Role

As a Water Process Operative, you'll help deliver safe, high-quality drinking water to our customers by operating and monitoring treatment works, pumping stations, and reservoirs across the network. This is a varied, hands-on role combining process control, site inspections, problem-solving, and operational monitoring.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Operating and monitoring water treatment processes.
