Job summary

A leading advanced manufacturing company in Royston is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Technician to support the commissioning of production equipment in their flagship 3CR project. The role requires recognized qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and experience in maintenance within large-scale manufacturing. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance to ensure reliable operations in a high-integrity environment focused on sustainability and safety. Qualifications

• Completed a recognised Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification.
• Completed a City & Guilds Electrical Installation Parts One and Two.
• Experience in a large-scale manufacturing / chemical industry within a maintenance function is desirable.
• Experience of working with Profibus networking would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Execute Planned, Reactive & Corrective Mechanical and Electrical maintenance activities.
• Provide effective problem solving and Mechanical/Electrical fault diagnosis.
• Undertake plant modification work to enhance safety and efficiency.
• Conduct Inspections, testing, and monitoring tasks.

City & Guilds IEE Wiring Regulations 18th edition (BS7671) - Essential* Experience in a large-scale manufacturing / chemical industry within a maintenance function - Desirable* Experience of working with Profibus networking would be an advantage - DesirableYou will be required to work a 12.5 hour day shift pattern which includes weekends on a rotation of 5 days on followed by 4 days off in rotation.
