Job summary

Dornan Group is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Manager to lead on a major London project, driving the planning, coordination and delivery of commissioning activities. You will ensure systems are inspected, tested and commissioned to project specifications and industry standards on site.

You will coordinate with clients, subcontractors and project teams to ensure fully operational handover-ready M&E services, while promoting safety, quality and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all mechanical commissioning activities to deliver fully tested and operational M&E systems to the client.
• Work with clients, subcontractors and project teams to ensure timely delivery of building services.
• Manage subcontractor testing and commissioning activities, including witnessing tests and review of documentation.
• Identify commissioning requirements, including specialist test equipment and resources.
• Support preparation and review of Commissioning RAMS.
• Carry out quality inspections during pre-commissioning and commissioning stages.
• Coordinate commissioning with other trades to ensure efficient delivery.
• Resolve commissioning issues quickly and ensure deficiencies are addressed promptly.
• Maintain accurate commissioning reports and documentation.
• Ensure all personnel meet required EHS training and safety standards.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Director, the Mechanical Commissioning Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of commissioning activities, ensuring all systems are inspected, tested, and commissioned in line with project specifications and industry standards.

As a Mechanical Commissioning Manager, you will act as an ambassador for the company and its values, leading by example while promoting the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance on site.

You will be responsible for overseeing commissioning activities across the project, coordinating subcontractors and project teams to ensure systems are delivered fully operational and ready for handover to the client.
