Job summary

The University of Warwick is seeking a detail‑oriented CAD professional to join the Estates Information and Systems team. You will create, maintain and improve digital records for mechanical systems across campus, balancing office CAD work with site surveys and inspections to support asset management and informed decision making.

With experience in mechanical building services such as HVAC, pipework, plant and drainage, you will help ensure accurate, reliable information is available for future

• You will be an organised and detail focused CAD professional with experience producing and maintaining mechanical services drawings within a building, engineering or estates environment.
• You will have a good understanding of mechanical building services such as HVAC systems, pipework, plant and drainage installations, together with the ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering information.
• You will be comfortable balancing office-based CAD work with site surveys and inspections, maintaining accurate records and identifying opportunities to improve information quality.
• Most importantly, you will take pride in producing accurate, reliable information and enjoy contributing to projects that improve how an organisation manages and uses its building and asset data.

About the Role

Join the University of Warwick's Estates Information and Systems team and play a key role in improving the quality, accuracy and accessibility of mechanical services information across a large and diverse university estate.

This newly created role offers an opportunity to help establish and maintain a comprehensive record of mechanical engineering information, supporting the safe operation, maintenance and future development of buildings across campus. Working closely with Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineers, Maintenance Teams and Estates colleagues, you will create, maintain and improve digital records for mechanical systems and associated infrastructure.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical drawing expertise with practical site-based work. Your work will directly support operational decision making, asset management and long-term investment across the University estate.
