Job summary

QinetiQ is seeking a Maintenance Engineer within the Estates Delivery discipline of UK Defence Operations. The role focuses on mechanical building services, preventive maintenance, repairs and reactive tasks, ensuring site plant and buildings run reliably. Based onsite in St Kilda on a 28 days on / 28 days off rotation, accommodation is provided.

The site offers Sky TV, WiFi, a gym and recreation facilities. Applicants must be able to reach Rangehead in South Uist or Kyle of Lochalsh for access.

Qualifications

• Proven maintenance experience with a mechanical bias.
• Skilled in fault finding and diagnostics of mechanical systems.
• Experience performing planned maintenance to SFG20 standards.
• Understanding SLAs, service targets and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support for site services, plant, equipment and buildings.
• Deliver specialist maintenance for building plant and equipment.
• Prioritise the work programme to meet business needs.
• Be part of the on-call rota within the Maintenance Team.
• Uphold health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship.
