Job summary

QinetiQ Limited is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to manage mechanical building services, perform planned preventive maintenance, and handle repairs on site in St Kilda, Scotland. The role operates on a 28 days on / 28 days off rotation with on-site accommodation provided.

Key duties include maintenance of site mechanicals, on-call duties, and adherence to health & safety standards. Eligible candidates must obtain SC clearance; role is permanent and based on a 37-hour week.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a maintenance engineer with a mechanical bias.
• Proficient in fault finding and diagnostic abilities on components.
• Experience in planned maintenance to SFG20 standards.
• Understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), service targets, objectives, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support (installations; planned, preventive & corrective maintenance) in relation to site services, plant / equipment & buildings
• Deliver specialist technical maintenance support & services in relation to building plant / equipment
• Prioritisation of work programme to satisfy business needs
• Form part of the on‑call rota within the Maintenance Team
• Ensure robust application of health, safety & environmental procedures & processes
• Ensure maintenance standards and quality of work delivered are to the required level
