Job summary

1313 is seeking a Mechanical Associate to lead mechanical design and delivery across a portfolio of projects in the West Midlands, with a focus on healthcare. The role offers hybrid working and a pathway into the Birmingham business unit within a national design consultancy.

You will manage mechanical engineering teams, drive MEP coordination, and contribute to client meetings, proposals and business growth while championing sustainable, low-carbon design.

Qualifications

• Extensive mechanical design within building services.
• Revit experience is advantageous.
• Ability to lead design teams and coordinate across projects.

Your voice will be important in the development and progression of the Birmingham business unit and this role is a key appointment to the senior team

Working with a portfolio of creative clients who are adding to the beautiful skyline of the West Midlands and UK

• Drive MEP coordination and BIM delivery
• Prepare and review calculations, specifications and technical designs.
• Lead client meetings, present solutions and build strong relationships.
• Manage project scope, resources, budgets and technical risks.
• Support bids, proposals, client growth and business development.
• Champion sustainable, low-carbon design and high-quality delivery.
• Strengthen the company's technical profile through collaborative project delivery.

Experience

• Extensive mechanical design within the building services sector
• Relevant design software user and Revit would be advantageous
