Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Birmingham is seeking an Associate Mechanical Director to lead the mechanical team and oversee delivery of complex building services projects from concept to completion. You will provide technical leadership, manage client relationships, and mentor engineers across the team.

You will work with senior leaders to drive growth of the Birmingham office, maintain high technical and commercial standards, and contribute to sustainability, decarbonisation and Net Zero objectives

Qualifications

• Experience leading multidisciplinary projects and managing client relationships.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, public health and sustainable building services solutions.
• Ability to mentor and develop engineers at varying levels of experience.
• Commercial awareness and experience contributing to business growth.

Due to continued growth within their Midlands operation, they are seeking an experienced Associate Mechanical Director to join their Birmingham team.

Your new role

As Associate Mechanical Director, you will play a key leadership role within the mechanical team, overseeing the delivery of complex building services projects from concept through to completion. You will be responsible for providing technical leadership, managing client relationships, supporting business development activities and mentoring engineers across the team. Working closely with other senior leaders, you will help drive the continued growth and success of the Birmingham office whilst maintaining high technical and commercial standards.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Experience leading multidisciplinary projects and managing client relationships.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, public health and sustainable building services solutions.
• Ability to mentor and develop engineers at varying levels of experience.
• Commercial awareness and experience contributing to business growth.
• Chartered Engineer status, or close to achieving chartership, would be advantageous.
• Passion for sustainable engineering and delivering energy-efficient building solutions.
