Job summary

Gi Group UK in Scotland is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Operator at our client’s site in Uddingston. You'll diagnose and rectify faults on a range of tools and machines, and service equipment before it returns to the client.

You’ll work with the Repair Team to identify product faults, receive full training, and have the chance to build a long-term career, potentially advancing into mobile service engineering.

Qualifications

• Recognised Apprenticeship in a mechanical field or equivalent qualifications.
• Electrical knowledge is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong mechanical/assembly/production experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of tools and machines.
• Self-motivated and able to work to deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Enthusiastic team player who wants to learn new technology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify faults on various types of machinery.
• Service machines before they are sent back to the client.
• Work closely with the Repair Team to advise on product faults.
