Job summary

GI Group Main Account in Uddingston is seeking Mechanical Assembly Operator to join a respected market leader in manufacturing and repair of power tools. The role involves diagnosing faults, servicing machines, and supporting the Repair Team to identify product faults, with a view to a permanent position.

The package includes a salary of £15.80 per hour, Monday to Friday, 7:45am–3:45pm (37.5 hours), plus full on-going training and the opportunity to progress into mobile service engineering as

Qualifications

• Recognised Apprenticeship in a mechanical field or equivalent qualifications.
• Electrical knowledge is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong mechanical, assembly or production experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of tools and machines.
• Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Enthusiastic team player with a desire to learn new technology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify faults on various types of machinery.
• Service machines before dispatch to clients.
• Collaborate with Repair Team to advise on product faults.
