Job summary

E3 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Fitter to join a leading manufacturing client in South Yorkshire. The role is permanent with salary DOE and features overtime premiums. You will build products from mechanical parts, work from engineering drawings, perform drilling, basic welding, and testing/inspection.

Occasional site installations may require staying away from home. This is a great opportunity to develop hands-on skills in a longstanding industrial group

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical fitting and assembly.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Willing to stay away from home for site installations when required.
• Overtime opportunities available as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products from mechanical parts and sub-assemblies.
• Work from technical engineering drawings to build components.
• Perform drilling operations and basic welding.
• Conduct test and inspection work on completed assemblies.

Our client has already engaged in the delivery of a wide range of high-profile projects and on the back of this they have been recently awarded another major contract and thus are looking to add a Mechanical Assembly Fitter on a permanent position.

DUTIES INCLUDED for the role of Mechanical Assembly Fitter :

• Build a range of products , consisting of a variety of mechanical parts and sub-assemblies.
• Working from Technical Engineering drawings.
• Drilling Operations.
• Basic Welding.
• Test and Inspection work.

KEEN to hear from Mechanical Assembly Fitter :

• Good skill base in Mechanical Fitting.
• Able to read /understand assembly drawings.
• Able to do basic welding.
• Able to stay away from home as and when needed for site installations.
